Snowy sunset in Derbyshire

I ventured up into the Peak District armed with my new snow chains and determined to get a wintery sunset image of some description. It was just as well that I'd packed the chains as within yards of turning off the main road, I got completely stuck in the snow. 5 minutes later and with extremely cold fingers I was up and running again and I can safely say that driving through the tracks that had previously only seen tractors and land-rovers, was a piece of cake.

Anyway not altogether sure what the name of this little hamlet was other than it's somewhere off the A635 near Buxton! As my Tamron 70-200 F2.8 has had to go back to Calumet after developing some focusing issues, I replaced the space in my camera bag with the old trusty 18-200 IS which I used for this image. It was a quick grab as there was a farmer in a rather large tractor bearing down on me! Shot at F5.6 1/250 sec at 105mm 200 ISO. Tweaked a little in Lightroom. Will post some more frames from this little jaunt over the next few days.
